Nesscliffe Rainbow
Nesscliffe Rainbow was a 15hh Chestnut born in 1969 and died in 1997, aged 28. He was by Golden Sunshine, and out of Tireinon Dawn, who was by Llwynog y Garth. Nescliffe Rainbow was purchased by the late Mr F Ll Jones and his son Arwyn as a foal from Mr. Frank Roberts of the Nescliffe Stud. Nescliffe Rainbow was to be the foundation stallion of the Glanvyrnwy Stud in Pontrobert Near Meifod in Powys. The Jones family kept faith in their initial judgement, and turned down some substantial offers in order to keep Nesscliffe Rainbow at Glanvyrnwy.. He spent 28 years as senior stallion at Glanvyrnwy and produced numerous offspring of show winning potential. Nesscliffe Rainbow passed on the attributes of strength and strong hock action to all his progeny His progeny include:
