Parc Rachel

Parc Rachel was foaled in 1966; she was bay with a star and a near hind white fetlock. She stood at 14.2hh. Her dam was Parc Pride and her sire was Cahn Dafydd.

Parc Rachel was introduced to the show ring very early in life; she was the foal at foot of Parc Pride at the 1966 Royal Welsh Show when Pride stood second to Derwen Rosina and Rachel went on to win the foal class. In 1967 she won a very large yearling class and stood reserve female champion, an achievement that she repeated in 1968, then in 1969 she went one better, after winning the two or three year old class she beat the winning mare Tyhen Mattie to be proclaimed Female Welsh Cob Champion and reserve supreme champion to the winning stallion Tyhen Comet.

In 1971 and 1972 Rachel won the George, Prince of Wales Cup. In 1973 she stood second to Tyhen Mattie. Rachel was champion again in 1975 and Reserve Champion to Llanarth Flying Comet in 1976 and 1978.
