Hendrewen Deryn
Hendrewen Deryn is was by Derwen Rosinas Last and out of Gwenllan Dilys by Madeni Welsh Comet. 15.1 hh Dark Bay Stallion with two white socks. This horse should need no introduction to Welsh Cob aficionados. Now 24 years old but as sprightly and fertile as ever, a performance cob second to none. Numerous wins under saddle, Wembley ,Olympia , eventing and dressage up to advanced medium level, WH and ridden champion Royal Welsh also Champion at a wealth of County shows. 2000 saw him return to the ring at the Royal Welsh to mark his 21st birthday. Judged by International Event rider - Richard Meade OBE , he was described as giving a wonderful ride and placed second and reserve champion in the senior stallion class. 2002 saw him return to the Royal Welsh, this time in a none competitive capacity leading the field as a Coastguard patrol horse in the daily display by the Welsh Pony & Cob Society display team.
